About Brera Botanical Garden

The Brera Botanical Garden was a place of cultivation for the Humiliati and then the Jesuits before the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria founded it as a botanical garden in 1774–1775. The University of Milan has run it since 1935. Its 18th-century layout of long, narrow beds, two elliptical ponds and an arboretum was restored in 2001; enter from Via Gabba 10, which has a ramp. See the website for seasonal hours.

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Brera Botanical Garden before you go.
