In the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Italia, Milan has one restaurant with Three Stars, Enrico Bartolini al Mudec; three with Two, Verso Capitaneo on the Piazza del Duomo, Seta at Mandarin Oriental and Andrea Aprea; and fourteen with One. Beside them, the city’s trattorias still cook the Milanese classics: saffron risotto, the cotoletta, ossobuco and, in winter, cassoeula.
The starred tables
Enrico Bartolini al Mudec, at the Museo delle Culture in Tortona, holds Three MICHELIN Stars in the 2026 guide. Verso Capitaneo, facing the Duomo, Seta by Antonio Guida at Mandarin Oriental and Andrea Aprea on the Corso Venezia hold Two. The one-stars run from Cracco in the Galleria to IYO, the Japanese table on the Via Piero della Francesca, and Il Luogo Aimo e Nadia, in the west of the city.

The MICHELIN Guide also selects the classics: Ratanà in Isola, Il Cairoli near the Castello, the Trattoria del Nuovo Macello and Antica Osteria il Ronchettino on the southern edge of the city. Trippa, Dongiò and Da Giannino – L’Angolo d’Abruzzo hold Bib Gourmands.
Book the starred tables weeks ahead, especially during the Fashion Weeks and the Salone del Mobile.
Aperitivo
At the end of the working day Milan takes an aperitivo: a Campari or a Negroni Sbagliato with something to eat. Camparino in Galleria and Bar Basso are the classic addresses.
Panettone
Panettone is Milan’s Christmas cake: the pasticcerie, Marchesi 1824, Cova and Peck among them, sell it from November.
Our advice: see our article on Milanese cuisine for the dishes to look for, and where to taste them.
