Each season the collections travel from New York to London, Milan and Paris. This series of four follows the shows city by city: the week itself, the big shows and what was written about them, and the new designers each capital is backing.
Seven days in September
Milano Fashion Week belongs to the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, founded in 1958, which owns the name. The women’s collections for spring/summer 2027 showed from 22 to 28 September 2026; the men’s collections show in January and June.
The events are by invitation only, and the Camera warns against anyone offering tickets for sale. The calendar, though, is public, and it reads like a map of the city’s fashion.
The big shows
Prada showed on the first afternoon, Tuesday 22 September, at Via Lorenzini 14. Fendi followed on the Wednesday, Max Mara on the Thursday morning, and Gucci on the Friday afternoon.
Saturday brought Ferragamo, Dolce&Gabbana and, in the evening, Bottega Veneta. On the Sunday morning Giorgio Armani showed at Via Bergognone 59, on the same street as Armani/Silos; Emporio Armani had presented there on the Thursday evening.
The week ended with a digital day on the Monday, when a run of labels showed online.
The new names
Among the great houses, the Camera makes room for newcomers. Camera Moda Fashion Trust and the Camera’s Fashion Hub both held events on the opening Tuesday, and on the Sunday Milano Moda Graduate showed the work of the newest graduates at Via Besana 12.
The calendar is public, and it reads like a map of the city’s fashion.
Act N°1, which showed on the Saturday afternoon, also took part in the SPHERE showroom for emerging designers in Paris the following week: one of the threads that join the capitals.
The Afro Fashion Association, founded by Michelle Francine Ngonmo, held events across the week, and the Sozzani Award held its event on the Saturday.
The calendar ahead
The men’s autumn/winter collections show from 15 to 19 January 2027. The women’s weeks follow from 23 February to 1 March and from 21 to 27 September 2027.
Our advice: book Milan hotels early for those weeks, then let the city do the rest: walk the Quadrilatero della Moda in the evening, and give a morning to Armani/Silos at Via Bergognone 40.
